Just ordered ECC99 JJ Teslas from Triode Electronics.
The plate voltage, dissipation, gm, mu, etc. all look great. Thanks for the reccommendation.
I'll set the things to run at about 70% power dissipation or about 12mA @ 215 volts P-K.
I anticipate great success. (Hah!)
You ar right, my circuit is similar in concept to the Atma-Sphere input stage. I originally picked it up out of Glass Audio. Andrew Nehan designed it. I hope to use a modified version to build the OTL amps I'll be building this spring. I understand why Atma Sphere chose the 6SN7 for adriver (450V plate) but I'm puzzled by the use of a low gm tube for the cascode.
