- I thought that the recommended bias setting for the 6AS7s was .075 per tube, e.g. 4 tubes = 0.3ma?

(Taking this to mean 0.3A or 300mA)

This is still reasonable, but on the high side. Our bias specs are somewhat conservative - a balance between long service and best sound.

I find that (in my own system) there isn't any major improvement going from 550 to 600mA, and at times I had the sense that the higher bias settings were making the amps a sound a little taught; high-strung you might say.

In any event, I would never take an M-60 over 600mA, period. Failures become more likely.
