If one were to employ fewer tubes (say 6 instead of the usual complement of 8 6AS7Gs) in an atmaspher M60 monoblock, what would the appropriate bias setting be? Would it be a proportional decrease to 413ma? If not, then what? I ask because I preseume reducing the number of tubes and maintaiing a bias setting of 550ma would merely force the remaining tubes to work beyond (harder than) their prescribed tolerances. Any insight would be welcome.
