I'm using a toroid pwr xfmr
to up the Q of an already
hi-Q driver (~1.5) to about 3.5
(trying to get oomph on a 2' open baffle)
This may sound 'off the wall'

BUT ..... If wound in a certain way
(and lots of them are)
Regular power transformers can do wonders.
I'm going to investigate the '70 volt' trip !
