Thanks for the compliments-I do all my own chassis work for all the stuff you've seen at
the webshots page (and more not listed there). The projects listed for friends
like "Dans preamp" are ones I've also built as well as
some of the favor work I've done for a few companies in other folders.Roy at GMA is really a great guy. Helpful, smart, salt of the earth
kind of owner. I suppose that's one of the best ways to insure
longevity in this wacky biz.One close audio buddy has 1.5's that we put the M/TW XO in the
upper marble cast, and left the Woofer XO in the lower cabinet
and wired everything
with Audio Magic (even before GMA started using
it!). We also added 6 sets of WBT posts for main
ins/outs to marble/ins at marble. I really think
that of all GMA's speakers, the Europa is good, but the 1.5's were a better bang for the buck.My Continuum .5's are decent- (biwired which Roy dislikes) and I conned Roy
into leaving them natural cherry and they've been reddening as the seasons go by. The Continuum 2's
ironically sound
very similar to the .5's, I think the Europa and 1.5's really sound
the best in the line up, but all the retail pricing has gotten a little spendy for my
pocketbook. Too bad.
