Myself, I would use phono cartridge in balanced mode with XLR on tonearm cable to MP1 phono stage. This would be getting the best out of the cartridge. For the other system I would use an adapter XLR-RCA to feed either separate phono stage and integrated amp. A compromise is needed somewhere and I think it better not to compromise the ultimate i.e. balanced mode with MP1.
