I tend to like Tenor tube+Rockport better.

Hi.

I spent days in a Tenor+Rockport rep studio auditioning the 'old' Tenor 75WPs, with music provided by the handbuilt Rockport System III Sirius turntable & Theta Jade CD player, through the 'old' Herron VTSP-1A preamp. Two pairs of Tenor 75EWPs bi-wired to drive
the 6-ft 4-ohm Rockport Hyperion 'monster' speaker.

I was very impressed with its deep deep soundstage & precise imaging despite the pair of huge speakers were placed only 10 feet from me.
So easy, so enjoyable & so engaged.

Yet I missed such involving feeling all together with the new Tenor
Hybrids having the same programe sources. May be I should blame the new Herron preamp (with SS remote control etc etc additions), & the smaller Rockport speakers used with the new Hybrid.

Anyway, the Tenor 75PW all-tube monoblock is still my best commercial products I ever auditioned.

Good listening
