Zaolla Cables an introduction and thanks to CEDIA visitors

64.32.158.234

Folks,

I'm Rob Manning the NSM for Zaolla cables.

We (I) am new to this forum and was introduced to it by Ray Kimber while at CEDIA.

He and the principle of Straight Lines both visited our booth during that show and because it was our first year I was truely honored to have these two guys drop in and compliment our technology and up front approach.

We thought taking baby steps in a segment of the business which is new to us would be an acceptable place to start and so we learned much about the general marketing of wire to the CEDIA type of dealer and consulative integrators, not to mention of course you folks here.

For the record, Zaolla has developed as a division of Hosa Technology an American company which supplies many of the professional Music Retailers and Sound Contractors nationwide with affordable, quality solutions for cabeling and adaptors.

Zaolla is marketed as a seperate category, addressing the needs of high end users and all of our cables use solid 5 nines, OCCS conductors. While some Zaolla cables utilize OFC for braid or secondary shieled etc, ALL of our center conductors use OCCS and all are solid not braided with the exception of S-Video, which has 7 strands of OCCS.

Our designs include -10db, +4db, 75ohm, 110ohm include recording snakes for digital and analog, which are used with AVID, DigiDesign, TASCAM, Yamaha, Pyramix and other sophisticated types of production gear used in recording and broadcast.

We also have commissioned HDMI, DVI and VGA cables for Q1-06.

To date, we have had a small but growing cadre of users most from the pro recording side and a handfull who are audiophiles.

If any of you have the Ray Charles "Genius Loves Company" record, the primary takes done at the RCE facility all went through Zaolla according to Terry Howard, Ray's longtime engineer and producrer.

PLEASE NOTE: GEAR and CABLES are SUBJECTIVE at the end of the day!

I am also a professional musician so I know what is hearable when doing evaluations with our reps and dealers, but that bias comes with the territory after several years of seeing some very skeptical jaws drop after trying Zaolla. Too many stories for this post but session players and recordists, mastering folks etc, all in the tales to tell file.

At Zaolla, we assume that users, recordists, musicians etc, will form personal preferences based upon their individual needs and tastes.

If any brand of cable makes sense sonically, budget wise and or simply gets the job done to one's personal satisfaction, then it's a good fit.

I will be glad to offer any information you folks might require, at least as far as I am able.

Thanks for allowing me the time to run a short drive through introduction.

Regards,

Rob Manning
