passive crossover

Hi Gianluca:

Great stuff. And thanks for sharing your circuits with us.

See if you know or not.... for the L's listed--- do you have
max dcr's (winding resistances)? I've kicked around winding
some specialty (that are applications supported) aircore inductors.
Most of the sizes (on first blush) look like they could be wound
as aircore guys.

I spoke to Paul Joppa last night and we briefly discussed these L's.
Paul has done some modeling (using a spreadsheet) to design some aircore L's. Paul mentioned an article (or he said it could have been a letter) that was printed in an old AES journal by Nevil Theil on winding air core L's. Anyone seen this article\letter? From memory PJ said it offered some insights and rules of thumb... like the OD should be two times the ID and that the wire cross section should be square for best results.

the 600 ohm to 600 ohm tranneys... we have tons of really good designs (from mild to wild) in our archives... biggest hassle (and most prominent expense in building) is the mu metal cans that these often go in... sometimes a design will use 3 mu metal cans with two copper shading rings interspersed.

but neat stuff... and always welcomed on our board.
