You mentioned C-40X (1.3lb). But immediately below C-40X is C-47U at 4.6lb with 3 ohm DCR. So, is the issue just bigger core size?
let say we want around 0.3H (no particlar reason but this value is what John used in his experiment), and we want the DCR to be lower than 10 ohm, is there a way to do a spreadsheet with different core sizes and voltages that these transformers will be used? I have seen some monster chokes that are over 50lbs and maybe ultimately this is what we need for higher voltage application.
