1:2 EXO173 (ping Mike-P Joppa-J Dowdy)

I had again a look to Il Monstro and noticed that 40kR across the "secondary" of the EX0173. I saw it ages ago but ... I just forgot about it when building my amp.
Is it there to damp rings and hi-freq oscillations? I am going to try it tomorrow (LOL its 3 am here!!). I just saw at the oscope a few small rings coming out from the 801A (I am using that lovely bottle as driver followed by the EXO173) when feeding the amp with 10kHz square wave. They are quite small but get bigger after the 1:2 step-up (greater than 2x). There's really nothing to worry about ... it's just to fix also the details. I saw quite a similar thing when using a "standard" interstage tranny (it was a LL).
BTW the amp is happily running ... not listen to it yet but results seem really good ... maybe tomorrow I'll hook it up onto my speakers (just using a cheap 10k OPT and PSU chokes to load the 813).
