RE: Magnequest Repair?

Thanks for your kind reply. I sort of knew this would be the unfortunate outcome when the damage happened. Yes, there was some foul language until I calmed down a bit.

I suppose I can keep my eyes open on the resale market in case one pops up from a reliable source. In the meantime, should I assume that I could use the "undamaged half" of the choke (the other bay on the frame) for 150 Henrys at 10 mA? This would at least give me some use of this unit.

I'm also assuming the 20mA rating of a fully-functional choke (for when both bays are operated in parallel) could not be achieved with just one bay operating, because the fine magnet wire would be undersized. Is this correct? Even a few more mA would help me. Several of the tubes I might use with this choke sound best between 15 and 20 mA.
