From ebony pucks to magic foil, mystical and controversial tweaks.

The local sales force seems riled up by the theory of remediation.

Wow, this seems like a Tiffany sales pitch - "for the discerning buyer..."

Quote May: "I know that you are fully aware of the numerous 'tweaks' which Unclestu has tried and heard IMPROVEMENTS in his sound from most, if not all of them !!!"

All of them, eh?

Pretty amazing.

:)

How do you know this occurred? Could it be because Uncle Stu said so? You'll take his word for it, will you?

Now, if another listener did not require the presence of some "paste on the coffee table" in order to reply to Stu, "Yes! That's just how it already sounds to me," would you call that person unenlightened, or is it just possible Stu tweaked something for himself that another person did not require in order to have the same experience? Why wouldn't you believe the other listener? (No sale?)

Maybe Stu needed the sonic Viagra and the other audiophile could get it up (sonically speaking) without this remediation.

Different strokes.

In one of the posts, an amputee needed to have someone check the basement window and adjust the placement of his finger jar to feel....how? Better.

Why did he need to adjust the status of the jar? To achieve the same level of well being that you and I already enjoy! Did you read that article and rush to your basement to check for a cold jar? I bet not...because you do not require that remediation.

Same with 'listener' directed tweaks, many (most, nearly all?) do not require them, they are already hearing what you are trying to convince them they need (in order to take their money.)

You say: If someone does not notice a change from your type of tweak, there are lacking in insight or listening ability. It's an insulting way to do business. Does the neurologist chastize amputees for not needing phantom limb remediation? No, he or she is happy for them, believes what they tell him, and does not insist they be treated for a non-existent problem, for them.

If someone does notice a difference, only then do you suddenly believe them and congratulate them for being so discerning.

Obviously a two faced way of 'listening' to what audiophiles are saying, May. If they say what you want to hear, they are discerning listeners, and if they do not, they are defective.

I'm just saying it's a two way street, and many audiophiles are already enjoying what you are selling, without need of you product or philosophy.

You enjoy working with hearing aid subjects....do you wear one?
