Re: At last!

Traddles

Thankyou for supplying this much needed missing link on this august forum for all to see. When this was last discussed in depth on this forum, the Leach supporters were left hanging by the fact that the JAES paper in question was incomplete in the form as delivered from their website (minus the corrections which you have supplied). A while ago, Dr. Edgar commented here that he had corresponded with Leach about discrepencies in Leach's procedure for determining the correct volume for reactance annulling. Dr. Edgar said that he had received a "...wishy washy.." reply, and further commented that "Keele got it right...". This was quite a bombshell, even more so because at the time there was no follow up comment. In this context, it would be interesting to hear a summary of the comments by Leach on reactance annulling to the reply letter to McClain, but perhaps I want to have my cake, eat it too, and have pie, all for the effort of a mouse click. As the controversy stood (as I see it): Keele was more accurate on the bass end; Leach was more accurate on the high freq. end. Comments anyone?

Paul
