The largest woofer that we're aware of is the 30" Dia. EV (ElectroVoice) model 30W. This was introduced in the late 50's, and had a very thick cone molded of polystyrene foam. This was used in their later version "Patrician" 4-way systems, in a Klipsch-licensed folded horn enclosure.
