titan2 (100-500hz) part of a system and usually needs 3 other parts to cover the remaining spectrum. if the other parts are matched properly, you will get a modern hi-fi system with good resolution and ok-attack that could fit in many domestic rooms.
tannoy are dual concentric and cover the full spectrum (almost) with 1 cabinet. typically, the bigger the cabinet, the better the souund. since they are dual concentric, driver-sound integration is not an issue and they usually sound ok in most rooms including small ones . sound wise, the older ones lack resolution top to bottom and have a rich creamy mid bass bulge with rolled off highs. the horn tweeeter is rather well integrated into the woofer even though most would find it mediocre. the big tannoy westminstier has a big rich engaging enveloping sound .. no horn crispness or attack .
modern tannoys have removed the technical weaknesses of the older tannoys but they also sound sterile and boring in comparison to the older tannoys.
finally, the current tannoy pricess are really, really crazy. at this point, only a collector would want to go near them.
