Anyone else know the Dr Edgar ?

I was friendly with him about 15 years ago and was at his place once.

I had several phone conversations with him before going to his lab.

He would crack me up tell me " I am not going to build you a seismic sub woofer until you buy a house "

perplexed I asked him why ?

" it will set your apartment building into harmonic resonance "

looking at him I said " so "

" so ???? ,,,, are kidding me that thing can produce one acoustic watt ! "

the Dude was a crack up at times .... he had a real love for beryllium TAD compression drivers. He hated class D amps calling them brittle and strident. He loved 45 directly heated triodes.
some how I did not end up with any of his speakers as I got an extremely good deal on a set of Altec 19s. .... in retrospect I wish I had

anyone else know the late Dr E ?
