Hey Claude, you're in Detroit area... I live in Ann Arbor. It is good to know our audio neighbors.

Once I get my room done, someday.... Maybe I can invite you over for a listen.

One advantage of field coil drivers, other than providing more opportunities for tinkering, would be to change the frequency response of the driver by changing the voltage of the field coil power supply. This may help to reduce the crossover network needed.

Hey have you ever purchased woofers, or had woofers reconed, from Alan Joseph of Spiral Reconing in north Detroit? I purchased a set of EVM 15L woofers from him. I found our recently that he had a stroke - sad story.
