I have owned Magnepaen 1.6 QR on two separate occasions. In fact "separate" is their weakness -- the wire delaimination issue.
I "converted" to Pro speakers about five years ago. I wanted to try horns, and was looking at Danley ($$$). I used deal on a pair of Yorkville Unity came up. Not true Danley, but a version of his early Unity horn. These I modified slightly and run active EQ-ed. They are easily the best speakers I've ever had. I'm not saying Danley's tech is innovative, although I beleive it is. OK< I guess I am saying it. But this also netted me a 60 degree conical horn down to 300 Hz, something not easily accomplished. Not for the $700 the pair I invested, anyway!
Your Radians are probably on par with many better home stereo speakers. The differences are really degrees of snobbery. You often are paying for bragging rights over sound quality in this hobby. Go with what your ears tell you.
