RE: Crazy pricing on Altec Model 19?

I have always been curious to hear a pair of JBLs like you mentioned. I've always been a bit leery of them because of the foam surrounds. I know they are prone to rot and feel replacements, however carefully done will not sound like factory originals. The Klipsches' and Altecs' pleated cloth surrounds will not need to be replaced unless they have been seriously abused.

Would still enjjoy auditioning a well-sorted pair.
