I've used DAP silicone gasket rubber in a tube from the automotive section at the hardware store, and I thinned it out to brush-able consistency with xylene as per the instructions. It worked quite well on the surround of a Pioneer CS88 but the surround was all there, it just separated at one spot from the frame (causing rattles). That was about 10 years ago and the Pioneer does daily duty in our HT., and doesn't sound different than it's twin which did'nt need the repair. Should cost under $10 if you have to buy a pint of xylene. Maybe I'll start selling it at $330 a gallon ; )
