1.) It's 6 1/2" Fostex 167E
2.) The cabinet is Bob Brines designed ML TL, tuned to 40 Hz if I am not mistaken. I had it for10 years now.
3.) It is only 94 dB as compared to ~98-99dB. Does not have the dynamics of the horns and the 414, nor the presence, clarity, and soundstage. It's is not a "lifer" speakers. They are good but cannot be compared to horns. Very good sounding using Dynaco ST70 or the other PP amps i tried. Does not get in the way, especially for background music if you are busy on some other project. To be honest, I have another pair of 167E drivers as a back up for this pair just in case. I really like them that's why I kept them and it's been in my room for ages. oh, I ran them full range, without BSC.
