For deep bass from an open baffle, you should read this article by Nelson Pass on a slot loaded open baffle. Cross over at about 100 Hz to any pro driver with high sensitivity. There are plenty of 8-12 in. pro drivers with sensitivities around 97-100 db/watt. Cross it over to the 511B at 500Hz. And of course, bi-amp (or tri-amp in this case).
