You're welcome to give it a go, but I'm not sure this would do what you want it to do.
Have you ever tried a push-pull slot loaded woofer design?
They look and sound very different than other speakers. The ones I have built sounded a bit odd to me at first, they had such a total lack of distortion. You might ask Norman Bates (here at AA)about his experiences, he has built both dual 12" and dual 18" versions (the bulk of mine were dual 15").
