BTW, The original Lowthers used a string suspension. If you look at the photographs that I put up of the original there are pieces of string in front of the pole piece. That is actually part of the suspension.All newer Lowthers use a more normal accordion style suspension made of rubber (older) or foam (newer). The converted units shown on e-bay and on my site do not have the string showing.
