I had a pair once. They were very impressively built.The US distributor didn't import them at the time, so I had to get mine from Solen in Canada.
In my opinion, the short horn is useless. It's way too small to give any pattern control in the lower end of the dome's range, which is where it would be useful. Narrowing the pattern at the upper end of the driver's range is hardly needed. I doubt the short horn offers enough real-world benefits to offset the diffraction it adds. Still, it's among the better-sounding direct-radiator midranges.
