G'day angeloitacare
I haven't heard the Trio's, but I have been using Tom's previous horns which are very similar to the SH50's for many years. The Unity Horns which I use at home are simply superb. I've lived with many excellent loudspeakers over the years (Two pairs of true ribbons, Dynaudios, Scan-Speaks) and the Unity horns are the ones I've lived with the longest. I just committed myself to the technology by building them into soffits in my listeng room! You can see more on my homepage at http://www.cowanaudio.com
I have no doubt the SH50's would be excellent in a domestic environment. They will take you places NO home HiFi speakers can.
Cheers
William Cowan
