I had brought this notion up awhile back and I've finally got something put together so I thought I'd share what I've done thus far.
Now since I've been laid up following back surgery I've not been able to build baffles but damn this set up sounds good. I mean good.
Source, x-over, amps, and power = Njoe Tjoeb cd player, Behringer CX3400 x-over, Decware SE84C-S amp, Adcom GFA 5300, Silver Iris coaxials and Silver Iris augie woofers, Cables to Go interconnects and DIY speaker cables.
I'm far from done with this set up, obviously I need to build baffles. Plus I've got one of Jerry's "Spud" amps coming on loan so I can try tri-amping. There are some mods to the x-over I'd like to do eventually too. Anyway this has been fun and has been a good distraction from my back issues.
