I've been doing modeling and listening of lobbing effects created by the center-to-center spacing and baffled polar response between two drivers. A 10Khz wave is about 1.35", so it would be difficult to correctly physically position a large plasma tweeter box. Time and phase coherence is important. A nifty wiget that cannot be properly integrated is not very useful for a real speaker.
