recently redid calc's for my bass driver- and discovered that i had the wrong value cap-- it's a second order, with a 3 mH inductor, and a 4uF cap.. but i usedta have a 5uF.. crossover's about 1500hz.now.. i can certainly hear a difference.. but what has exactly happened electrically with the transition? i honestly haven't a clue as to what exactly occurred with the bigger- now smaller- value. audibly-- there's a lot less glariness goin on, and the mids aren't as congested.
so gents (and occasional lady), what have i done?
thanks much!
