The actual performance of the filter does indeed include the woofer inductance, whether it was included in the crossover design or not. The tables of crossover values generally assume that the filters are terminated into a 4, 8 or 16 ohm resistive load. They do not assume a mix of resistance and inductance. The filter/crossover will not work 'ideally' unless the load is constant +/- an octave or so of the crossover frequency. Placing the crossover midway between the bass resonance and the inductive rise allows this condition to be largely met. Of course the bandwidth, radiation pattern and power handling of the available drivers will play a major role in the choice of crossover frequency.Good luck with your design,
Bob
