Dave---You're quite right, the bolting of the horn to the cabinet kills ringing. With my Nineteens I just added some non hardening modeling clay to the lips on the notion that it's easy enough to do and can't hurt. Then I forgot about it until I saw this thread.Time and effort spent on heroic horn damping is better spent online explaining why heroic horn damping isn't needed.
