The only references on the Internet that I can find for Alcomax 5 are the Lowther PMA4 and the REPS-R1. There are other references for Alcomax 1-4, Alcomax S.C., and Columax, but none for Alcomax 5 except those two companies. It makes me wonder if it's a misnomer on their part, or perhaps a special alloy that nobody else uses?If anyone knows alternate names for that particular alloy, or can tell me more about it, I'd be grateful.
And speaking of those two drivers, does anyone know if the "cobalt alloy" or "super alloy" they use in their pole pieces is for all intents and purposes Permendur? If not, I wonder what it is . . .
Thanks!
