There is certainly something to be said for using terminology that people will swallow. Say "horn" to a group of cigar smoking wine sipping twinkies and they might choke. :-)

That's a better and shorter definition of horns vs. waveguides than some I've encountered, very nice.
As for cigar smoking wine sipping twinkies, just remember the famous dictum: "A woman is only a woman. But a Cigar is a smoke!"
