The L300 sound very good but the 2-way cinema series are at a higher sound quality level. They were easily driven by a single pair of 45 mono blocks. I now biamplify them with a Marchand vacuum tube active speakers crossover. I do not think your blanket statement is entirely valid for the whole line of JBL Cinema Series speaker systems.

While I agree they have no WAF they do sound very good. There is no horn shout and the bass is tight and goes deep enough for my needs. To each their own I guess. John
