Hello to all! I am new here and have a question- I have an old pair of Karlson Enclosures that were made in the late 1950's....over the years someone has painted them black then added white speckles for whatever reason. I plan to sand down the cabinets, fill in any deep scratches/gouges with wood filler, sand again and then apply band-it real wood veneer. Is this the way I should go?Second, for the 15" driver, I need some suggestions....I have a pair of Altec Santana speakers with that incredible bi-flex 15" woofer...I'm thinking they may do the trick, or is there another way to go? Are the Altec woofers best where they are now?
Any suggestions would be helpful! (I have my sights set on a Dynaco ST-70 tube amp...if I fail to get that, I have a newer Sony ES amplifier from the late 80's/early 90's that I can use.)
