I am at work and cannot do a thorough search but... The crossover is modified because the Autograph's horn loading will increase the efficiency of the midrange and lower bass frequencies. The higher frequencies would be less audible. The modified crossover will help flatten the frequency response.There is a file in the Tannoy group "file" section that shows the crossover schematic for the gold when used with the Autograph. I have also seen threads in their forum that describe how to modify you existing crossover.
I would love to try an Autograph but I will eventually go with the box as suggested by Timbo. My speakers sound great in their existing crappy cabinets when driven with my Bottlehead Paramount 300B amp.
