The Beyma looks very promising to me - I had mentally passed it by in my own 15" wooferquest because it looks unsuitable for a high crossover point, but should work fine at 300 Hz or so.In a 150 liter cabinet tuned to 40 Hz, you get -3 dB at about 40 Hz and -10 dB at about 31 Hz. A single 6" diameter port 4.5" long ought to do it. If the speaker is going to be near a wall or near a corner, then use a longer port to tune the box lower.
$75 each? Nice job!
If you find that subjectively the Beyma isn't "fast" enough, and assuming your box is solid and your tuning isn't boomy, then my suggestion would be to look for a woofer with a Faraday ring ("shorting ring") in the motor.
