Thanks for your reply Larry - I don't know what the bobbin is, I just know that when I adjust a nut on the frame that holds the driver in the speaker I get the sound back for a couple of days and then need to adjust again. I'm sure this isn't normal, as the problem just started after more than a year of use and the other speaker doesn't have the problem.Matt
