Hey Russ,I'm a newbie too, so I'm just guessing here.
It seems to me that since digital crossovers use number-crunching, and not resonant circuits (whether purely passive, or buffered with op amps), that they are free to apply whatever phase delays (if any) they choose, dependent only on the algorithm they use to calculate their output.
I certainly don't know this for a fact, and have actually been wrong before, but that's my uninformed guess. Can someone point me to some sort of reputable reference on the topic, or explain why a digital crossover isn't free to manipulate phase in whatever way it deems (un)fit?
