Fostex FE207E FR in a bass reflex box. "DaveJ" built these, later giving them up for adoption, and I adopted 'em. They are a really nice sounding family of drivers and the shielded FE207E will work in such a simple box. The port's in the rear. (Yes, you can see the TQWT and its tweeter box hiding behind the FE207E and a Quad ESL-57 that got caught in the crossfire)You could probably even use one of the prebuilt, veneered speaker enclosures from Partsexpress and have a very simple, very enjoyable, very efficient fullrange speaker.
