Re: Help: anyone know specs on Dr. Edgar Refrigerator subwoofer? a guess

perhaps one might look at Dr. Edgar's "Monolith", scale it "a bit" to fit Seismic's bulk and run some analysis using David McBean's powerful free software to get an approximate idea?

I'll guess ~105dB from 30Hz up (?) against wall using AJ and not sure now it fits. Monolith in my room ran flat to 40Hz with a Dayton Eminence.

Volvotreter's dowload section

McBean's HORNRESP

rough sim input on Monolith:
l=2.2M; AT=387 sq.cm.m h=40, b=86.36, Vfc=1, Vrc=56, main box size ~12.7CF so horn volume's probably close to 10CF.

AJ describes the following volumes to get from the throat to the mouth n 2.2M path - perhaps the path is a bit different due to down-firing and side-exhaust (?)

Tractrix=314l: Conical = 366l; Exponential = 308l:Hyperbolic = 246.21l: Geometric = 209.8l:Parabolic=422.6

published spec on Dayton

Re= 5.4ohm,
Fs = 26.4, Qms=8.25/Qes=0.300, Vas= 11.986 cu.ft., Qts=0.29, Le = 1.4mH, BL = 18.2, Xmax = 7.8mm, Sd = 132.7 sq.in.
