hey fatbottle..i know it's mebbe a dumb question, but in the innerest of being thorough-- in calculating your crossover values, maybe you overshot in your values for determining caps? maybe you just have a hellacious amount of overlap between your midbass and your comp driver? i had the same thing happen until i got my actual impedances straightened out, and it about drove me nuts-- getting your volume under control is about impossible til your overlap between drivers is right... AND if you're using a bypass-- it gets twice as difficult.
what is your current network looking like- including your bass bin/horn?
