Re: hey Rich and Steve, you got an update for us?

Hi Dominic,

I can't imagine our absence created too much of a vacuum in Las Vegas since we have shown there only once, in 2006. We did exhibit with Ron Welborne and Bill Woods at the Rocky Mountain Audio Fest this past October. After that effort Vegas was coming up a little too quickly. Also, CES is mostly for manufacturers that are establishing or maintaining a dealer network, and we are not sure that this will be our business model. We will likely operate through direct sales and perhaps a few strategic re sellers for the foreseeable future. For now RMAF fits us better, and is a lot more fun as well. We are also working on a possible event in NYC in May. Stay tuned.

The Cogent tortoise of progress is moving right ahead in any event. We have finalized the designs of the Cogent DS-1428 midrange/high frequency and DS-1448 bass compression drivers, and have been manufacturing them in small quantities. We have had a few sales so far through personal contacts and word of mouth. We are really happy with our current horn designs (as heard at RMAF), a new 47Hz. mid bass horn and the Bill Woods' designed conical mid horn. One item that we have recently added to the line is a diaphragm assembly for the classic RCA MI-1428B and MI-1443 drivers. This diaphragm is a drop-in replacement for the original, but being similar to our Cogent diaphragm it improves the driver's performance quite a bit. We also stock replacement field coils. We are pleased to be able to offer the RCA owners out there these products to keep their remarkable drivers singing through the 21st century.

Part of our world domination strategy is launching our web site, which is under construction currently. When it launches we'll make enough noise to make sure everyone hears about it :) .
