You can use DSPs to achieve flat response, it's de rigeur in pro-sound. But flat response and sounding good isn't necessarily the same thing. 'Horn Sound' is coloration added by the system, and that's something that no DSP can remove. A bad horn may sound better with than without correction, but not as good as a horn that sounds good to begin with.
