AJ, I had a chance to hear the Feastrex drivers at CES 2006. As Chris has already commented on, the acoustics of the room were bad, so much so that I had to attempt to "hear through" the poor conditions to attempt to judge the sound. What I did hear were smooth, alert, very alive sounding drivers providing a somewhat bass shy but entirely captivating listening experience. Dr. Bose might smile, but I don't believe he has ever built such a fine sounding speaker as I heard in that room, that day.Over the past three years I have had a taste of what it is like to pursue the development of an uncompromised loudspeaker. The costs of such an endeavor mount quickly and obscenely. Just my perspective, but it seems to me that $4k is entirely reasonable for the successful results of such an effort.
