Hi Tom. I heard some of the Jolida's and like them for their syrupy smoothness. But they lack detail compared to the better tube gear (as you noticed too). A close second i would say but they trounce receivers IMO. I'd buy the 102 that you have in a second if i wanted another tube amp. Id also love to have your Fisher. I have a Cary and two SI $30 amps scattered around the house. I also have a 35 Rega Brio which sounds worst of the group... but no worse than the best receiver i've heard.As for the SI amp. It's great but lacks bass when using speakers that can reproduce it. Unfortunately i noticed this with a pair of larger speakers i recently built... never noticed it with other smaller speakers. I'm affraid the Cornwalls may reveal this weakness with the little SI. The tweaked out SI for $139 is supposed to address this issue.
