well... I just went the other direction than you... I was happily using an Eimac 75tl in SE for about six watts.. then I revived and reworked my Eimac 304tl amplifier... now at least twenty watts.. it varies depending on how hard I juice them... much more snap on the bottom... yes, in this room Onkens with Altecs... is it the power? I don't honestly know... I like the beauty of the 75tl, but you just can't deny the majesty of the 304tl...do I have an answer for you? unfortunately, no... try it and see, if you can... I am thining about reworking the 75tl with a higher transconductance driver than the 112A.. just to hear the change... it is direct coupled....
