After many hours of breaking in the crossover my Jabo/ BMS4592nd horns are up.
Unlike the CD DDS theater horn I built these babys are incredibly open sounding and much less pinched in the upper mids. The thing is that on axis they are almost too much to bear in their overall intensity and hf energy. I am only sitting 12 feet away from them and at 18 feet they are awesome right on axis. What I was wondering was do most of you tweek the crossover for less energy in the upper range and listen on axis or just listen off axis . I would not have guessed that the ideal spot was so much farther back than my current setup.
Oh man the dynamics are soooo additictive with compression drivers!
Thanks
Bob
