I use a 10" woofer & 1" compression driver (on DDS waveguide) crossed passively at 1.7 kHz. Seems to work okay.That 18Sound elliptical waveguide is pretty small; you'll probably start to lose directional control below 2.5 kHz or so. Assuming your mid driver is still clean when crossed over that high, it should work.
